Day on the Hill

SAC’s advocacy day on Parliament Hill will bring together members, politicians, and key decision-makers in an effort to raise the profile of the professions and communication health in general.

Throughout the afternoon, we will advise Members of Parliament (MPs), Senators and their staff about ICP 2014 and encourage them to sign a bound version of the Universal Declaration of Communication Rights pledge. We will add to this collection of signatures throughout May (the ICP 2014 Month of Action and Canada’s Speech and Hearing Month). We’ll take photos of MPs and Senators showing their support for the project and ask them to promote it via social media.

Following the Day on the Hill, we will host a reception for MPs and Senators who are unable to meet with us during the day.
